Founding Engineer

Owning a home is overwhelming. We're here to make it simple.

We need a founding engineer to build it with us.

Our product is in production and a brokerage is piloting it right now. One of our advisors is a broker manager who'll help put it in real estate agents' hands across the industry. We sold out our pilot in one hour after we launched it.

You'll receive meaningful equity and revenue share and be able to shape product direction. You have a chance to build something in the emerging category of agentic home care while tapping into two markets that move hundreds of billions a year: real estate referrals and home services.

We're building Reyn, an app that helps homeowners and real estate agents be lazier, but get better results.

Homeowners want an easier path to repair something, to take care of the yard, to figure out if it's a good time to make that improvement on their house. They want to know what they should maintain, and they want to not think about it.

The real estate agent wants more business. They want to get the referral they earned, or to keep the client they worked hard to get.

This is what we're building.

The app becomes memory for the home. We turn a pile of messy home data (inspection PDFs, disclosures, recalls, comps) into advice a homeowner can act on, making it easier for them to confidently know what to focus on next, and the network to make it easy.

You'll be the first full-time engineer, working straight with the founder. You'll own engineering for the whole product: the platform, infrastructure (including agentic), and the front end for the screens where the users are. You'll help us flesh out the web app, then build the mobile app.

You'll own entire areas from idea to deployment, and set the bar for everyone who comes after you. The first three to six months are a grind, you and the founder are finding product-market fit.

After that you choose if you want to grow with the role (own security, privacy, and the vendors and partners we work with, on the path to a real leadership seat) or step back into a lighter seat and keep your revenue share.

We're not hiring a staff engineer who's done everything at scale. We're hiring a founder who happens to be an exceptional engineer.

• Love the craft. You take pride in clean, maintainable code and you sweat the details, because the product carries someone's name and money.
• Extreme ownership. This is for you if you almost want to start your own thing but aren't quite there yet.
• Range. You can take a feature from an empty Postgres table to a working screen by yourself, and you've put LLMs into a real product and know how they fail.
• Taste. You have opinions about what's worth building, not just how to build it.
• You've shipped your own thing into production and kept it running. You know the pager comes with the territory, and for a while that pager is yours.
• Use AI well, own the fundamentals. You move fast with AI tools but can explain every line, debug when it breaks, and make the call without waiting for a model to tell you what's right.

• 5+ years building and shipping production web and mobile applications
• The ability to have healthy rational debates, and commit to building the best thing for users and the business we're building
• Deep knowledge of the stack: TypeScript, React/Next.js, Node, Postgres, and the ability to easily use our tools (Supabase, Vercel, Resend, Claude, GitHub, Google Workspace, Notion)
• Real experience putting LLMs into production
• Unstructured data processing and relational database design
• Scheduled or event-driven systems: cron, queues, retries, idempotency
• Extreme comfort with ambiguity

• An extraordinary ability to build an antifragile product, as well as maintain it
• Shipped a React Native / Expo app to the App Store and Play Store and kept it alive: EAS builds, OTA updates, push notifications, deep links, and the review-submission gauntlet
• Real estate, fintech, or proptech background
• First or only engineer somewhere before
• Extreme DevOps ownership
• Bias towards automation
• Product taste

Next.js 15, React, TypeScript, Node, Tailwind. Supabase (Postgres, RLS, Storage, Realtime). Vercel. AI through Groq and Anthropic's Claude, with on-device models on the roadmap.

This is a founding partnership role. You'll receive highly competitive equity and revenue share.

We're building a lean, hyper-profitable machine. You're taking co-founder risk, so you're getting co-founder upside. You'll get paid directly from the cash flow we generate together.

Adam Fry-Pierce, formerly at Google, DocuSign, and InVision. He's a power operator from the product and UX side, with 17 years building businesses, programs, and software.
